Who We Are

The Anchored Collective is a cooperative of local pastors and church-planters in the Dallas area who share a singular motivation, interest, and objective: Jesus Christ.

While we practice a variety of methods, hold different theological perspectives, come from a plethora of ecclesiological histories and affiliations; we as a group share a singular motivation: to see the name of Jesus proclaimed and followed in the lives of the people of our neighborhoods. Likewise, we share a singular interest: to practice the craft of pastoring faithfully in Jesus. And finally, we share a singular objective: to be a community of pastors, and thus church families, that recognize and affirm Jesus in one another as we work together to build up one another into the fullness of Jesus for the sake of our city.

We are Anchored to Jesus in our context, Anchored to Jesus in our vocation, and Anchored to Jesus in our love for one another.

What We Do

The primary objective of Anchored Collective is to build genuine friendship among pastors. And so, we share a lunch once a month.

It sounds simple because it is. We simply set-aside time each month to: eat together, laugh together, share in success and struggle together, pray together, and just be together. We don’t engage in “shop talk” or theological inquires or even current debates; though we recognize how important these things are. Instead, we make sure we have a time and place to share the burden of our holy calling with others carrying a similar load, encouraging one another to remain anchored to Jesus in context, calling, and community.

That’s it…kind of. There is to the Anchored Collective, like…

  • Collaborating together to missionally engage our communities…

  • Monthly worship leader round tables…

  • Regular times to build friendships over your favorite beverage…

  • Periodic “Soul Care” retreats, and…

  • Starting Fall 2023, a Learning Community committed to helping one another sharpen the skill of pastoring through facilitated discussions on practical, cultural, and theological issues we all face.
